Bus Plunges Off Bridge In India Killing Dozens


At least 37 people deceased after a bus plunged off a bridge into a river was India.The accident when the driver apparently lost control and ran off into a river Purna in Navsari, 180 miles (285 kilometers) from Ahmedabad, the capital of Gujarat

The police chief said. 'The bus went from Navsari to Ukai, when the accident happened.'We have not, however, the exact number of people traveling on the bus know is that it was full.'
He added that the police, fire and rescue service participated in the rescue scene! Senior officer of Gujarat state later said that 37 people died, and was 'at least 24 others' were taken to hospital for treatment,
Television footage showed residents and rescuers in the water, shifting the bus wreck with their bare hands and leads to rescue people sheets.
Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel tweeted: 'Deeply saddened to learn that the unfortunate bus accident Purna river, the bridge Navsari My prayers are with you, the victims and their families» Gujarat government announced 400,000 rupees (£ 4080) compensation for families of the victims.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 230,000 people die every Indian roads year.Transport Analysts say it is due to poor ground, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
In October, 15 members of the wedding, including three children, were slain when a vehicle was driving collided with a bus in the south.
