DARTH Vader is a ruthless cyborg serving the Galactic Empire but on earth his attempt to be an armed robber proved embarrassing and futile.

Jacksonville Beach Police Department in Florida allege that Jacob Jeremy Mercer, 32, wore the Darth Vader costume when he pointed a gun at staff inside the 8 til Late convenience store in Jacksonville Beach and demanded cash on Sunday.
“We looked at each other for a couple of seconds it was a little scary,” employee Ricardo told First Coast News.
As Fox News reported, there was not a light saber at hand, so another worker picked up a bottle of blue cheese dressing and threw it at the Star Wars character hitting him across the face.
Blood fell from behind the mask and Darth Vader fled the store.
“He ran to his car sped off driving recklessly through a stop sign and took a right ... I lost him from there.
However police had been called and Mercer was arrested without incident at a nearby property. Investigators said several handguns and ammunition were found in Mercer’s backpack,
