Geraldton toddler hit by ute improving, smiling again in hospital

Geraldton toddler hit by ute improving, smiling again in hospital
A THREE-year-old boy who was hit by a ute while trying to cross a road in WA is smiling and ready to begin work with a physiotherapist and speech pathologist, his family says.
Noah Archer was struck on October 24 in Geraldton and was later flown to Perth’s Princess Margaret Hospital for Children to receive treatment.
His aunt Kate Najar posted an update on an online fundraising page, saying Noah no longer needed an intravenous drip and had been given the tick of approval from his neurologist.
“He’s not sitting up, walking or talking yet — except sleep talking — but we’re all confident that won’t be too far away,” she said.
“We’re still unsure as to when we can bring Noah home but as long as he’s in good hands and getting better then that’s the main thing.”
Ms Najar said Noah’s five siblings missed their brother and were trying to organise a trip to Perth where their parents are by his side.
More than $6000 has been raised so far via the GoFundMe website to help the family.
