Learning to live with rare and potentially deadly skin disorders
THEY are two very different people whose skin could kill them.
Every day is a painful struggle.
This is the story of two people, half a world from each other, and their search for a cure.In China, 22-year-old Cheng has been dealing with a mysterious skin condition since birth. Known locally as Fishboy, thick layers of fish-like scales are growing all over his body.


Now he’s leaving his village for the city, where a doctor thinks he may have the answer.
Will Cheng find the cure he’s been waiting for?
In Alabama, five-year-old Payton has a one in a million skin condition known as epidermolysis bullosa that’s slowly killing him.
His skin blisters severely, falling off at the slightest touch.
Hoping for a cure, Payton’s wishes are granted, becoming the 13th recipient of a revolutionary stem cell transplant.
Will he finally be free from his deadly skin?
