Inside Richard Branson’s new $66,000 a night luxury island hideaway
SIR Richard Branson has made another of his jaw-dropping homes available to holiday-makers, adding The Branson Estate on Moskito Island to its Virgin Limited Edition luxury portfolio.

Moskito Island is off the coast of Virgin Gorda, the third-largest of the Carribean’s British Virgin Islands, and has long been a favourite for scuba divers and sailors.
Situated on 50 hectares and surrounded by turquoise Caribbean waters, booking for The Branson Estate will be available from early next year.
The asking price? $66,530 a night for up to 22 guests. That includes all meals and drinks, a DJ one night of your stay, return transfers from the airport in the British Virgin Islands.
“It’s well known that I adore the beautiful and unspoilt British Virgin Islands and I’m thrilled that the new Branson Estate on Moskito Island is joining the Virgin Limited Edition collection,” Branson said in a statement.
“I’m confident that this stunning estate will be a fantastic addition to the rest of the portfolio.”
Branson bought Moskito Island in 2007 for a reported purchase price of $US10 million.

The Branson Estate consists of three villas each with an infinity pool, offering a total of 11 bedrooms for 22 guests.
There’s a recreation area on the eastern side of the island that features a wraparound infinity pool, hot tub, swim-up bar and nearby tennis pavilion.
The Moskito Island property joins Necker Island (also in the British Virgin Islands); luxury hotel Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco; nine bedroom Swiss chalet The Lodge in Verbier; and The Roof Gardens and Babylon Restaurant, one of London’s most glamorous party venues.
Other properties in the portfolio include Mahali Mzuri, a tented safari camp in Kenya; Ulusaba Private Game Reserve in South Africa; Mont Rochelle Hotel and Mountain Vineyard in South Africa and the mega-catamaran Necker Belle.
