Gunmen Attack Military Bases In Burundi Capital

Dozens of people were killed in coordinated attacks on two military barracks in the Burundi capital Bujumbura early today, according to witnesses and military sources.



The fight began around 4:00 pm (0600 GMT), when the 'heavily armed men' attacked the base on Ngagara in the northern part of a military training college in the South, according to a senior military officer who spoke AFP on condition of anonymity.
